Here’s what’s going on in tech on Wednesday…

Apple…Apple…Apple…Yes, Apple was holding an event in San Francisco and the star of the show is the newest version of the iPhone.

The latest IDC figures on wearables show San Francisco’s Fitbit on top in the second quarter, and Apple Watch sales down 58 percent from the same period a year ago.

Microsoft looks to be doing something new with Skype. The company is said to be working on a competitor to the Slack messaging platform called Skype Teams.

Amazon has launched a restaurant delivery service in London called Amazon Restaurants. The service is meant to compete with the likes of UberEats and another European food delivery startup called Deliveroo. Service is for Amazon Prime members and delivery is free for orders that cost 15 pounds (approximately $17) or more.

It’s a new day for Dell, as it closes its $60 billion acquisition of EMC. The company is also changing its name to Dell Technologies.

Not a good day to be looking at porn. Approximately 800,000 emails addresses, passwords and user names from the Brazzers online porn site have been compromised in a big hack attack.

Oracle’s still in a buying mood, as it acquired LogFire, a maker of cloud-based warehouse management software.

Yelp is getting in on the bug bounty game, and offering hackers between $100 and $15,000 for what they find as part of a new, public bounty program.

Palantir, the super-secretive data-analytics firm co-founded by Peter Thiel, has filed suit against one of its early investors claiming he stole company information for his own use.

And speaking of Peter Thiel…He wrote an op-ed piece in the Washington Post today saying that Donald Trump’s “heretical denial of Republican dogma about government incapacity is exactly what we need to move the party — and the country — in a new direction.”
