Off topic: Election talk, beards and politics, jury duty, mail notification

The 2016 election and demographics: What would it take to turn red states blue, and vice versa? There’s an interactive graphic for that. Speaking of politics, on the use of facial hair as symbols of allegiance. An anonymous juror’s account of jury duty, which he compares to “The Breakfast Club.” And talk about buildup: The post office can email you to say your snail mail is coming.

The link for this story is actually the link to the Postal Service story. “The 2016 election and demographics: What would it take to turn red states blue, and vice versa? There‚Äôs an interactive graphic for that.”

The US Postal Service actually had a plan about 20 years ago to issue digital certificates to promote electronic commerce. I guess they didn’t figure that email would hurt the mail business.
