Move over, Michael Fassbender. There s a new Steve Jobs movie coming out in September — and it features Jobs playing himself.

The first official trailer for  Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine launched Friday, and judging from the two-minute peek at the documentary, it looks to be a sharply critical look at the legendary Apple co-founder. A couple of quotes: He was not that much fun most of the time, and his stuff was beloved, but it wasn t that he was beloved. Also, from Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak: He was paid $7,000, told me we were paid $700 and he wrote me a check for $350. And that hurts because we were friends.

Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine is directed by Alex Gibney, a famous documentary maker who has tackled WikiLeaks, Enron, Scientology and more. Taxi to the Dark Side, his look at American torture practices with a focus on the death of an Afghan taxi driver, won an Oscar for best documentary in 2007.

The Jobs documentary is due out Sept. 4, about a month before the premiere of the movie starring Fassbender, titled Steve Jobs. That movie is based on Walter Isaacson s authorized biography of the same name, and will be in theaters Oct. 9. (Here s my look at that trailer.)
