Facebook Messenger gets its first game, ‘Doodle Draw’

Playing games is now part of Facebook’s messaging app.

Facebook opened up Messenger’s platform this year to allow developers to add more features into the app, but most of the new tools were aimed at helping users express themselves through GIFs, songs, and more.

Now there’s a game available to download for Messenger called “Doodle Draw,” which Facebook says is its first real game since they opened up the platform, TechCrunch reported.

Doodle Draw is a game where people send drawings to their friends and then they guess what they drew.

Facebook has been introducing new features to Messenger this year including allowing people to send money through a text in an attempt to make the app more popular for people on the social networking site.

So far, it seems to be working.

Yesterday, the company’s┬áVice President of Messaging Products David Marcus posted that the app reached 1 billion downloads on Google Play.
