Google set to unveil wireless service with usage-based pricing as early as today, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Apple boosts spending on lobbying, including advocating for mobile payments. Also boosting their lobbying spending — significantly — were Google and Comcast.

Facebook tweaks its news feed algorithm, puts emphasis back on status updates, photos, videos and links posted by friends. The change could affect referral traffic to news publishers.

Gurbaksh Chahal, founder and former CEO of RadiumOne who was fired last year after a domestic violence conviction, is now the target of a gender-discrimination lawsuit by a female marketing executive at San Francisco-based Gravity4, his new company.

Comcast is meeting today with antitrust officials; yesterday, six senators called on the FCC and DOJ to block Comcast s $45.2 billion bid to buy Time Warner Cable.

The FBI and TSA have told airlines to watch for evidence of tampering or network intrusions. The alert is a response to reports last week that passenger WiFi networks could make some planes vulnerable to hacking.
