China’s Huawei Technologies and Intel are expanding their cloud computing alliance to improve global telecommunications companies data centers.

The broader partnership was announced by Intel at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and by Huwawei today.

Intel said the companies will develop the next generation of Huawei’s FusionSphere cloud computing software product, along with other network improvements.

A strategic big data partnership between the two firms was announced last April.

Huawei signed a three-year agreement with Intel in 2012.

At the time, Huawei’s global business director said that “inside Intel there is a special team dedicated to integrating the full range of Intel and Huawei information and communication technology solutions for the benefit of both companies.”
