Here s more fodder that streaming TV is something to watch. The Golden Globes winner for best actor in a comedy or musical TV series, Jeffrey Tambor, called Amazon his new best friend Sunday night during his acceptance speech. Tambor stars in Transparent, which many people might not have heard of. It s an original series that streams on Amazon. The show, about a transgender father, also won best comedy or musical TV series.
Likewise, House of Cards star Kevin Spacey gave a shout out to Netflix when he won for best actor in a drama series. The political drama House of Cards, along with other Netflix original series, has seen its share of accolades over the past couple of years, including multiple Emmy nominations and an Emmy win last year for actress Robin Wright.
Also nominated for Golden Globes were Netflix s Orange is the New Black and its star, Taylor Schilling, who was at last night s awards show. Also there: Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, stars of Grace and Frankie, which we ve mentioned is a Netflix original comedy series set to make its debut this year.
