Tesla Motors, which has been on a mission to hire America’s veterans, hosted more than 300 veterans and their families at the Fremont factory Tuesday, giving the visitors a rare tour of the facility. Though widely sought after, public tours of the Fremont factory are not generally available at this time.
Tesla reached out to veterans and posted information on RallyPoint, the professional military network. The tours, hosted by executives and managers, were open to all vets and those on active duty.
Tesla tweeted out a photo of its Veteran Tribute Model S, which was on display Tuesday and will live at the Fremont factory.
