We realize that Detroit residents have been a bit stressed-out in recent years, what with the fact that their entire city is bankrupt and on the verge of an economic Armageddon.

But this latest dispatch from The Motor City suggests things there are even more insane than the rest of us suspected.

From Fox news comes the story of a homeowner who’s clearly entered the Steve Jobs-inspired Reality Distortion Field.

We’ve heard of Apple fanboys doing crazy things (“Let’s get in line now for the new iPhone that comes out a week from Thursday!”).

But this takes the iCake.

Hmmm. Let’s see now. For the price of an iPhone 6 ($199.99 with a two-year contract) I could buy a house worth $3,000, but I’d have to spend at least that much to have the thing torn down. In which case, I’d be left with an empty lot worth, given Detroit’s dire straits, probably close to $199.99.

But with no contract attached.

Such a deal.
