Apple sent out invitations Wednesday morning for an event on Oct. 16.
In a stark white e-vite framed by a technicolor apple, the company beckoned select guests to come see an executive presentation at 10 a.m. on its campus in Cupertino. Apple put on its last show just last month at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts in its hometown, where it revealed the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the Apple Watch and Apple Pay, a mobile payments service.
It s been too long, Apple quipped to guests in the invitation.
Though the invite offered few hints as to what Apple has in store this time, the company is widely expected to unveil new iPads and new Mac computers, in addition to officially launching its OS X Yosemite software. Such a lineup would leave Apple s portfolio of gadgets fully refreshed for the holiday season.
