Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Head to Cupertino for the SAP World Record Electric Vehicle Parade.

That’s right. EV enthusiasts will attempt the largest number of electric vehicles in a parade Saturday at De Anza College in Cupertino, in hopes of making it into the Guinness Book of World Records. At least 1,495 attendees are registered, including 269 Nissan Leafs, 84 Tesla Model S sedans, 6 BMW i3s, and so on. The current record of 481 was set by Stuttgart, Germany.

Cupertino can do it!

The event is being sponsored by SAP, Nissan, PG&E, Schneide Electric, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Electric Auto Association and SFBayLeafs.

The parade will begin at 8 am: if you want to be a part of the World Record, please arrive around 7 am.
