Tesla Motors has quietly rolled out a Destination Charging program, giving 106 hotels, restaurants and resorts High Power Wall Connectors that offer more than twice the power of a typical charging station.

The Post Ranch Inn, Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, Westin San Francisco, and Meadowood in St Helena are among the locations included in the program, which adds 58 miles of range to a Model S in an hour.

As Tesla s Supercharger network grows—the Truckee Supercharger, which opened Wednesday, is the 110th station in North America—Model S owners are hitting the highways for road trips in growing numbers. Several hotels, restaurants and resorts have requested Tesla charging as an amenity for guests. The Marcus Hotels & Resorts has added Tesla High Power Charging Stations at the majority of its owned and managed properties across the United States, including The Garland in North Hollywood.

By offering convenient destination charging services to Model S owners, these hotels and resorts are replicating the convenience our owners have become accustomed to at home, said Tesla spokesperson Alexis Georgeson in an email. Owners wake up relaxed with a full charge and ready to hit the road again.

Tesla will continue to add Superchargers along I-80 to enable travel between Tahoe and Salt Lake City.
