Twitter was named the No. 1 tech workplace and No. 2 overall in a survey we wrote about in December. Now there s more reason for the San Francisco company to pat itself on the back: It s No. 1 on a list of top 25 companies for culture and values.

Glassdoor collects anonymous employee rankings of companies, their CEOs, and for the first time, workplace culture and values. The 25 companies in the survey released today include 11 tech companies, most of them in the Bay Area.

What makes Twitter so great it earned a 4.5 out of 5 on the satisfaction scale? Open dialogue [and] they care about employees, which speaks to following through on their internal values, wrote a company account executive on Glassdoor. The microblogging company is also known for perks common to other tech companies, including free food. In addition, the survey covered the time period between July 2013 and July 2014. Twitter, of course, went public in November. The shares have had their ups and downs, but: ka-ching!

Besides Twitter, the Bay Area tech companies on the list are:

  • Google, No. 3
  • Riverbed Technology, No. 4
  • Facebook, No. 5
  • Intuit, No. 11
  • Genentech, No. 14
  • Apple, No. 15
  • Adobe, No. 20
  • NetApp, No. 25

Bay Area-based Chevron was No. 9. As for who beat out Google for the No. 2 spot, it was Edelman, the big PR firm.

The survey included companies that had at least 100 reviews on Glassdoor in the period covered by the survey.
