Off topic: Answering questions about Syria — and Britain; slow news; slow lines; last in a row

“I wanted to bridge that gap, in the little drive-by way of troublemaking that Twitter allows.” That’s novelist Teju Cole on asking “9 questions about Britain you were too embarrassed to ask,” a parody of “9 questions about Syria you were too embarrassed to ask.” Speaking of Britain, word about the Declaration of Independence took about a month to reach London — talk about slow news. Supposedly, the line  seems to be moving faster at the next checkout stand because we think we’re more important than we really are. And Last House Standing, a photo project.
