Coming soon: Google, the movie?

So who would you cast, if you were making a movie about a major Internet company known for hiring brilliant data scientists to work on organizing the world’s information?

Yeah, Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are definitely the first two actors who come to mind.

The two stars of the “Wedding Crashers” have reunited for another comedy, “The Internship,” about a pair of hapless sales guys confronting the onset of middle age and evolving technology.

In the words of the film’s publicists, here’s what happens next: “Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. Now they must compete with a group of the nation’s most elite engineers to land a full time Google gig.”

We haven’t seen the whole film, but the trailer pretty much tells you what to expect. It looks like Google cooperated with the production, which the two stars were promoting this week in a live video “hangout” on Google+
