Santa Clara chipmaker Nvidia is planning a massive 1-million square foot corporate expansion next to its headquarters, according to a published report.
The company filed formal plans for the development on Monday with the city of Santa Clara, the Silicon Valley Business Journal reported. The document said the project would be built in two phases, which each phase involving the construction of a two-story, six-sided, 483,475-square-foot building.
Nvidia didn’t disclose the cost and timing for the project. A spokesman with the company also declined comment, because the firm is due to announce its earnings tomorrow and is required by federal regulations to minimize its public comments during this period.
