Quoted: Teens drug parents so they could use Internet

“The girls wanted to use the Internet, and they’d go to whatever means they had to.”

Lt. Lon Milka of the Rocklin police department, on the arrest of two California teenagers, 15 and 16, after they allegedly drugged both parents of one of the girls because of a “too strict” Internet policy. The 15-year-old said her parents turned off Internet access at 10 o’clock every night. She and her friend offered her parents milkshakes laced with prescription sleep aids, according to the Sacramento Bee. When the parents fell asleep, the girls used the Internet to their heart’s content. The parents called the police after using a drug-test kit to figure out they had been duped, and the teens are facing charges of conspiracy and willfully mingling a pharmaceutical with food.
