Shine On, Danny Kennedy and Sungevity!

Danny Kennedy, the co-founder of Oakland solar start-up Sungevity, is on a roll.

In August, the New York Times Magazine published an in-depth piece about residential solar companies like Sungevity, SolarCity and SunRun that featured Kennedy as the lead character.

Now Danny has written “Rooftop Revolution: How Solar Power Can Save Our Economy-and Our Planet-from Dirty Energy.”

Retired Gen. Wesley Clark, the former supreme commander of NATO, wrote the forward to the book. Kennedy and Clark recently caught up at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.

The Australian Kennedy spent years as an environmental activist, most recently as campaign director with Greenpeace Australia Pacific, before deciding that starting his own solar company was the best way to bring solar to the mainstream.
