It took two days for Google to issue a statement on Friday’s billion-dollar jury finding in favor of Apple in its patent lawsuit against Samsung. But that’s not because Google wasn’t following the case closely.
Many analysts believe the worldwide patent war between Apple and other smartphone makers is really a battle between Apple and Google, maker of the Android operating system, which outranks Apple’s iOS as the world’s most widely used smartphone platform.
Or as UC Hastings law professor Robin Feldman put it on Friday: “This is about domination of the smartphone industry.”
Ok, here’s the statement that Google issued late Sunday evening:
“The court of appeals will review both infringement and the validity of the patent claims. Most of these don’t relate to the core Android operating system, and several are being re-examined by the US Patent Office. The mobile industry is moving fast and all players – including newcomers – are building upon ideas that have been around for decades. We work with our partners to give consumers innovative and affordable products, and we don’t want anything to limit that.”

I think this patent war needs to die already. And every time I see that weasel of a company (Apple) going after someone else, it makes me hate them even more. It’s events like this that outrage me. Anyone in their right mind should be boycotting this company. But, they’re blinded by what they think is the coolest gadgets on the planet. And how many people are lined up to get the next “latest and greatest” from the Apple factory even though they’re paying the 200-300 price tag for a single new feature. Just sickens me how idiotic some people can be.

Leave this Apple alone. It’s not your concerns. Let the tech giants fights and may the best device win. I wouldn’t worry so much unlike you. Loser.
