I was reading a post on Daily Kos today,the progressive political blogging site, through my Bloglines feed reader, when the ad below popped up:

Now, I can only guess that Republican candidate Tom Campbell did not intentionally buy ad space on Daily Kos. If so, the Republican base would probably be none too happy. Rather, it appears the ad was served up by Google’s ad network. It’s a good lesson for politicians that they better know what they’re doing when they try to leverage the Web for their campaigns.
