Palm’s new chief executive, former Apple executive Jon Rubinstein, has decided to repolish both its products and corporate brands by creating two new executive marketing jobs both reporting directly to him, according to an SEC filing this afternoon.
Named as senior vice president in charge of product marketing was Kathleen Mitic, who joined the company Monday. The executive in charge of corporate branding has yet to be named, but one person it won’t be is the companies current chief marketing officer, senior vice president Brodie C. Keast. His employment will terminate “on or about July 15, 2009, following an appropriate transition period.”
