Pink Slip 2.0 to launch this Sunday

Heads up! The Pink Slip 2.0 project officially gets underway this Sunday with the first installment chronicling the lives of three recently laid-off Silicon Valley workers. I think you’ll find each of their stories compelling in its own way, with some common themes inter-linking their pink-slip experiences.

From the moment each received his or her lay-off notification, through the initial shock and anger, then over the days and weeks of what have turned out to be anguishing job searches, you’ll learn a lot about life for those caught suddenly jobless in a ravaging recession.

So be sure to meet our three subjects in this Sunday’s paper, hear their stories, see their lives in photos and video by our Emmy Award-winning photojournalist Dai Sugano, then join us here online and follow us on Twitter as the online community around Pink Slip 2.0 begins to expand and deepen.

I hope you find their stories inspiriing and educational. We all have much to learn from these folks.

Thanks for reading!

Pat
