California’s AG Jerry Brown reported to be reviewing Google-Yahoo deal

California Attorney General Jerry Brown (pictured) is evidently reviewing company documents about Google ‘s proposed partnership with Yahoo, according to a report by Bloomberg News.

The review was disclosed in a letter from Brown’s office to California Assemblyman Joel Anderson, a Republican from El Cajon,  who asked Brown to start an antitrust investigation to determine whether the proposal is anticompetitive, according to the article.

Anderson said in an interview that 11 state attorneys general are investigating the partnership, including Florida and New York, according to the Bloomberg story.

The U.S. Department of Justice is currently reviewing the deal in which Yahoo would display Google ads on its Web properties and share the revenue with Google.
