That Latitude rebate process did seem unusually tedious

New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo sued computer giant Dell, claiming the computer giant attracts customers with misleading financing terms, rebates and other benefits, but ultimately sticks them with high interest on lines of credit and avoids paying some rebates.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the lawsuit seeks an order requiring Dell to pay unspecified damages to affected customers.

“You can have aggressive marketing, and if you go too far it’s consumer fraud,” Cuomo told ABC News on Tuesday. “In our opinion they went too far.”

Part of the suit claims that though Dell gave the impression of 24×7 service, consumers faced “nightmarish obstacles” in receiving it.
